Pros

They pay on time, and are computerized

Cons

They expect 95 percent productivity and do not have rehab aides to help with filing. You are expected to file. Some of their buildings do not have computers in the gym, so point of care documentation is impossible. If you say ANYTHING about this, they will find something on you, dismiss you to PRN status, and then give you a few hours of work before your pay rate changes, and never call you again. Do not work full time for them if you are an OT or PT especially. I have a very good reputation as a therapist, and they let me go for ridiculous reasons ( one was an outright lie about me). I hope therapists all over the country wake up and do not work for this country. I feel they get rid of you because they are afraid you will report them, and want to dismiss you before you find evidence to report. I have seen activity that is unethical and more but I can't prove it or I would have reported them. They do this everywhere, and I was warned about this company but wanted to give them a chance. I should have heeded the warning as I did not deserve to be treated the way I was.

Pros

None on management side at all. Great therapists who work hard everyday to help their patients regardless of no help from this company.

Cons

Absolutely everything else. Worked for this company for almost 3 years. Longer in the actual facility before they brought in the "Devil". We went through 4 DOR's with Reliant in just a few years. Very unstable company. Your job is NOT safe. One time they sent the DOR to another state to open another facility and forced another employee with no management training to run the rehab dept for about 2 months! Nice. They have cut pay twice in the last 2 years, 5% and 8% with initial incentives given to employees with top productivity....which did not last long...and the only employees who got them were unethical. They currently have 90% productivity for assistants and 85% for therapists. Most work through lunches.... They "encourage" use of unattended modalities even if pt doesn't need them-"there is always a reason" and "group"---no!--individual tx's....terrible! Management doesn't listen to anything you say....well, if you complain or question anything especially ethics/law...you will be punished and some were "downgraded" to PRN status without notice from full time status shortly after. They are bullies....if you want to keep your job....shut up and do it or else. You are not allowed overtime for any reason, even when the caseload says you have 10 plus hours of work. No help from management on how to legally do this. Not patient oriented at all...all about the MONEY. And PTO?? When? You have to put in 30 days notice and you are only allowed a certain percentage of employees taking in same month due to size of rehab...they want productivity #'s high! If you do plan PTO...watch out...they will fill your days up so you use more hours and possibly lose your PTO...some people were forced to work weekends to get PTO the next week....thus losing PTO in the long run..You can't claim 40 hours in a week for PTO if you work any hours in that week. I lost about 3 days due to this myself. I find it very hard to believe they are actually opening/taking over-new facilities in many other states. I don't know where therapy is going in the years to come, but I am beginning to lose hope if there are any companies out there who actually care about their hard working, ethical, caring employees that would be very loyal to good companies. Very sad. I also can not believe how many therapists allow these unethical companies control them to the point of putting their licenses in danger. Amazing. No wonder why Medicare is cracking down....because of companies like Reliant Rehab. I hope this helps anyone that is looking to be employed by them.

Pros

Extraordinary hourly rates, that's all!

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, unaccessible PTO time, no bonuses, 90% plus productivity, money driven not client centered, upper management are like ghosts, overtime is NEVER allowed despite the caseload size, expects every patient that falls to be evaluated, allows Rehab Techs to become Directors of Rehab with only a high-school education, insurance is ridiculously high priced, you are only acknowledged for not meeting their unrealistic expectations, & a ton of other issues. NEVER WORK for this company, they could cause you to lose your license!
