Pros

Field staff quite committed. Emergency response is yielding results. Regionalization is a positive step. Centers of excellence is a positive step to increase focus & quality. Grant fund raising is on the rise.

Cons

Country leadership lacks accountability leading to nepotism & loss of resources. Human resources management needs serious improvement in accountability, fairness & transparency in recruitment & performance review. Finance system is weak in control & compliance. Management line specifically finance & staff are blurred & abused. Communication protocol often personalized. Funds is considered as only measure of success for country & regional offices. Operation procedures are often rigid & top down.

Pros

Relief International not only has great Core Competencies but it sticks to them such as - not limited to - building a good Relationship/Network with local partners whether they are government or non-government organizations. RI also is very Cultural Sensitive when working in different contexts. RI invests in its staff and volunteers training and capacity building. RI has great systems in its HR, Program and Financial departments.

Cons

Could re-call negatives but I am sure there is always room for improvement
