Pros

401K matching and boost Everything else is at par with industry or below, although HR will tell you its way above

Cons

Poorly managed with a very insecure leadership team. Most of the functional heads are International Assignee from tiny global markets who have no idea how to run a business the size of the US that is as large as the rest of the 139 BAT countries put together. Since the managers have been brought into the US and given a road to the Green Card they are busy kissing up to ingratiate themselves to those who put them in their roles. As a result there is little strategy other than doing what the boss wants, or what the guys sitting in London dream of. PowerPoint plans and prepared and changed every week and countless hours are spent in meetings nitpicking the colors, fonts, and images on the slides vs getting out a plan and executing it. The company is delivering strong results based on all the price increases it has taken in the past few months but with the industry decline accelerating with the higher prices and inflation the future is far from "a better tomorrow". Regrettably HR is watching this game of politics and nepotism as an audience and their actions are as lame as the comments that will be added by them below in response to this and other reviews.

Pros

The 401K benefits are good. Pay is ok.

Cons

Hyper focus on hitting short term numbers. Manipulation of actual results to align with forecasts. Major outsourcing of jobs. The company practices age discrimination when it comes to job responsibilities and promotional decisions. Many long term employees leaving the company due to negative cultural changes as a result of BAT taking control. BAT management has a short term oriented focus and can be arrogant when it comes to sizing up the competition. The work force is seen as a cost to minimize.

2021 was hell…. 2022??

Benefits, mainly the car and gas

So as you can see from other reviews, 2020-21 was absolute HELL. I have no clue how I survived it. The workload was insane after BAT took over and management was a joke. We finally were given surveys in mid 2021 and the company panicked bc the results were so awful. So they went ahead and hired a bunch of new “directors” to come in after Propel 2.0…. These directors were basically cheerleaders lol. They came in and pretended that they cared and how sorry BAT was for the chaos they caused and change was coming!! It was an amazing 6 months and then boom, these “directors” magically found other jobs after an exact SIX months with Reynolds. And guess what…. The workload is starting to become insane again and we have lost all of the transparency we were seeing for those six months. The new contracts are absolutely ridiculous and I would love to know how they expect reps to manage JBFs for every store being that our territory’s have doubled in size. Such a waste of money bc it will never happen. I could go on and on but I’m only writing this bc I fell hard for the whole cheerleader act and I’m very sad it was all for show.
