Pros

The people in your Region. Other tobacco companies pay just as good and have similar benefits and nicer vehicles

Cons

No leadership, read reviews and run. Leadership does not listen nor do they care. Pricing did not get better it got worse, (how many vacancies are in the finance department at the moment) communication from different departments has not gotten any better: get a new computer system, at the same time do new contracts, at the same time change how we do pricing: at the same time let’s redo all the fixtures for new contract but wait no third party for as long as I can tell…let’s FINALLY do a special return on all the products we launched that weren’t successful which we knew wouldn’t be but again you didn’t listen: and let’s stop doing returns at the same time within a months notice. Let’s launch a bunch of Vuse holsters and change all the POS but you can’t reorder the special editions but we’re going to send everyone a POS kit again so the POS is only good for maybe a couple of weeks. The idea of let’s relaunch Velo with the same name for the third time is ridiculous you will not gain anything from launching yet another product that failed miserably. The field is not working for you at this point we are literally working against you, it’s laughable. You will never be number one the way you treat the field. We get paid less than Altria and drive smaller vehicles but are expected to do two to three times the work.

Pros

Like many others have said the company car, phone & internet allowance, 401k. Plenty of opportunity to move up in the company, gain skills, and work with iconic brands. BAT (parent company to Reynolds) wants to be #1 and they will throw down resources like no other to accomplish that. Overall, it was a great experience, except for the last year and a half.

Cons

New initiatives were communicated with very short lead time and lacked pertinent details needed to effectively sell in. BAT had made it such unenjoyable place to be with the constant changes, last minute requests, and overly complex pricing strategies. Customers had a hard time adapting, showing their frustrations as well. All the new brands launched during 2021 were sold to generate cash for the company with little regard for the impact to our retail partners. Work-life balance become extremely difficult to the point where the wins didn't feel satisfying anymore.

Pros

401k match. Some benefits. Time off, vacation away from the field.

Cons

More work and less pay, soulless company. Zero culture. Zero career development. Zero career opportunity with antiquated structure.
