Pros

Good work life balance. Fully remote. Sufficient compensation. Work is for a good cause (EdTech).

Cons

Leadership completely disconnected from the teams building their products. Leadership susceptible to ruthless cost-cutting and laying off entire teams to hire off-shore and near-shore contractors. Company values claim to do things WITH teams, not TO teams, but management has no power against the hottest trends that leadership falls prey to. Upon acquisition of teams, visionary leaders have been replaced without hesitation by workers who lack understanding of context and communication between teams is crumbling, weighing down the people who remain (for now). My advice? Use this company as a stepping stone and/or simply work your wage — the company's long-term survival will suffer due to their hiring practices.

Pros

Winter break holiday off at the end of the year, diverse atmosphere, fun and helpful teams to work with, medical coverage is ok but looks to be getting better, PTO 18 days starting out

Cons

Higher ups are very out of touch with the student facing employees. They set many expectations and requirements of these teams which add extra busy work when it is just lowering moral across the department. Many technical delays that cause disruptions in work and little to no help from the training team, IT, and the higher managers when there are questions.
