Pros

1. Free electric car charging stations 2. Free baked goods every Fridays 3. Stable company

Cons

1. Slow IT process. Requesting for an account to be activated usually takes around a month to complete. 2. IT discourages developers to use Linux as the primary OS in the company laptop - you'll have to go to a lengthy process of proving why you are an exception which is mostly a losing battle and a waste of time and energy. You are stuck making constant hacks and battling with Windows just to make some dev code work which is a complete waste of time. If you are not a designer, good luck requesting for a mac book as well even though it is a viable alternative to linux - you'll need an attorney just to prove your case. I see developers begging for mac books simply because they believe that not battling with the Windows environment to get their work done will result in better productivity and yet, is constantly being questioned and denied. 3. Cutting corners to meet deadlines are a norm. PMs mostly throw away common sense engineering practices in favor getting more velocity to please the higher ups and will crack the whip to make sure the work gets done. 4. Daycare has a 3-year long wait list. They use it as a tool to recruit people with young kids but once you get in, you'll quickly realize that it is futile to even put your name on the wait list. 5. Requesting for compute and storage resources is an uphill battle that will take a lot of energy from developers to prove their case on why they need it. 6. No company-paid team lunches and team social events. 7. You don't report to your team lead. Instead, you report to your supervisor which is a person that you may only probably see once every month and is mostly disconnected about your day to day work. Most of the team leads are just scrum masters that don't help steer the team's technical direction or champion best practices. 8. Prefers slideshows rather than code that's actually running during sprint reviews :(
