      Growing pains for a medium sized company

      Free Parking downtown Free lunch (when in the office)

      Cons

      Some of the original employees can't move on to their new roles. Pay scales are all over and not balanced. Some people get bonuses, some don't. I asked for a performance bonus mixed with my salary and was told" Root doesn't do bonuses" If you don't want to work 15 hour days, you will be frowned upon.

      Good overall but possibly declining

      Pros

      I had a great couple of years at Root, huge tech stack with a ton of engineers to learn from. They encourage people to move around to different teams after a while.

      Cons

      Very strict guidelines for promotion, no bonuses.

      Time off Good salary Nice Bonus Pay Structure Work from home

      Cons

      Cliques Lying to customers Random and ever increasing requests of the sales team that encourage being less human and more of a sales robot for the company Taking random calls all day from lead sources where a customer was lied to in order to get them on our phone and then it looks bad on us when we don’t sell them
