Pros

competitive pay and health insurance / benefits

Cons

crumbling infrastructure, outdated technology, rude supervisors and management, no work life balance Classic "fake" corporate jargon but the company doesn't change. Very little diversity within the corporate office, which does not reflect the customer base! If you want to be stuck in the dark ages of retail, this is the place for you. If you want a future, get out ASAP

Ross Dress For The Worst

Pros

There not much to say for pros, the discount and some of the staff are nice.

Cons

There's always drama, you have to work in a toxic work environment that drains you of energy and motivation to work there. New associates hardly get trained properly and are left to figure things out for themselves. Stock team rarely has things together, they leave hazardous messes around at the end of their shift and make the sales floor fall behind due to the need of caring for their mess. The store I've worked at for the past while is never running out of hard times, this store is by far the worst place to get a job. If you want something calm, worth your while and some place that will train you...this isn't for you. Challenges and Drama await you if you think this is the right fit.

We hold our store managers to high standards, and what you’ve described here does not reflect the conduct we expect from our managers or management training we provide. Reporting and eliminating poor management performance like this example is one of the reasons we have an employee alert hotline in place. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and will use the feedback to help our managers understand what’s expected of them and why.

Pros

Little to no pros left at this rate

Cons

The CEO and upper management are full of lies. Won’t take accountability and blame bad business on employees. This company is going backwards.
