Pros

Co-workers, Trauma Bonding is a real thing. Summer Fridays are the only thing to look forward to for a few months a year.

Cons

Company is full of lies and zero stability in the work schedule. We were told the "end state" of our hybrid schedule for Buyers would be 3 days a week (Tues-Thur) and that Planners would be in 2 days a week. Now they are forcing all Buyers and Planners to come in on Mondays and only gave 4 weeks notice. There is NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. The company is going BACKWARDS and blaming bad performance on the fact that we are not training assistants. There has been zero accountability from upper management on their part in "bad business" and what changes they will make go forward. There is already ZERO morale and we easily work 50+ hours a week and this is just insult to injury. We get rewarded with no bonuses, miniscule pay raises, and now Mondays in the office. They lied to associates who recently interviewed and got hired that we would be in 3 days a week. Those associates now have whiplash and have lost complete trust in the company. People have made life decisions about where to live, decisions about childcare, etc on this "promise" that we would be in only 3 days a week. There is no integrity in what theyre doing and employees have lost complete trust that Ross values its associates let alone just staying true to their word. There is complete disregard to employees lives and what sacrifices we make for this company. This company wants it to be 2019 again but they need a REALITY check that this is 2023 and Ross will never retain or recruit good talent being in the office 4 days a week. People value their mental health and work life balance more than ever, and Ross is making it impossible to have that while working here.

Pros

Job stability, employee benefits, summer Fridays

Cons

It is clear that upper management does NOT care about their employees. They promised to keep a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 remote (buying department). After a year of not paying out bonuses and blaming employees for poor sales performance, they took back their woes and are now forcing us in the office 4 days a week. Rumor has it that come September when summer Fridays end, they will announce a 5 day office schedule as well. Ironic that all this comes out after changing their slogan to “our values start from within”. BS!!! Increased travel demands, no bonuses and little to no raises, micro managing superiors, favoritism. This is not the place to work anymore. Mass exodus coming, many have confirmed they are leaving the company ASAP. No one wants to work for a company full of lies.
