Pros

Commission is good. Hourly pay is decent. You can build close friendships

Cons

There aren’t goo advancement opportunities. They are extremely cheap. We had several emails about our ink usage because apparently we used too much ink even though we solely used ink for business purposes. When our manager tried to order ink, on several occasions, operations denied our request til we were completely out and then we had to email device payment agreements, customer agreements and receipts to customers.

In regards to advancement opportunities, have you reached out to leadership to ask about what steps you need to take specifically, to be in a position next time an opportunity opens up? Ideally, by doing so, you can work on those items to be properly positioned for the next opportunity. In regards to the printer ink, that is very odd. You can contact Operations to discuss that and get more information so both you and them are on the same page. Thank you for your tenure and the review!

This Company is a joke! I have worked for Russell Cellular for almost 10 years and its getting worse and worse we use to make good money now they put us at min wage and capped us at 13.00 hr and butchered our commission you should not hit a 100% quota and make less then $150 in commission . I regret wasting 10 years of my life to company who is getting very greedy!

Thank you for the review and for your tenure! While pay, at stages is capped, it should take you 3 years to reach this cap. During this time the hope would be that you have set yourself up for promotion to the next level. Our commission structure is transparent and based on what you have sold. We did not raise quotas. We switched from a year round static quota, one that was the same in January as in December, to one that was based only on Year Over Year numbers. And yes, this change did come from Employee Survey feedback. We would love to hear the suggestions you have around making the compensation, or the organization better. Pros

People at the corporate offices are madly in love with their job as long as they get to stay in the confines of Corporate.

Cons

On the sales floor, we hate out jobs. I've seen people cry. The new pay structure is crap. 400 of 900 people get nothing more than their minimum wage. The other 500 people are lucky to see a $400 commission check. They raise our hourly, in turn lower our commissions greatly, then when you hit targets, it's pig scraps that we get. Device markups as high as $100 more than online prevent people from shopping in the stores. They wonder why people shop online and the local economy is starving. This is a very cheap, yet very expensive CEO. The people who make the company money are being cheated by the CEO. Other wireless franchises pay wayy better. Employees in this company should go on strike. They load your plates with more work than you can handle when you have a store that is very busy. And the pay, not worth it at all. American greed to the finest here. Way to go Mr Russell. Mr Grinch more like it.

Dear former employee: The new pay structure was meant to have a higher guaranteed pay in hopes that employees would have a better estimate of what their final take-home would be.
