Pros

Safelite AutoGlass has provided me with years of stability as far as a full-time job and health benefits. I have been with the company for 15 years. I have gained experience and knowledge that has become useful in my daily life. Having worked in various positions within the company, it has also given me the perspective of our employees who work in the field. There are a number of career opportunities and working here, I have met lifelong friends. You develop bonds with people over time, including with management who regards their employees as equals.

Cons

I think a few of the cons to working at Safelite AutoGlass can be said working anywhere. I don't believe anyone feels that they make enough money for the job they do, and that rings true. Sometimes you are given tasks that are outside of your job description without receiving additional compensation. And like in many work places, the hard workers sometimes end up picking up the slack of those who don't work as hard.

Pros

Obtained full-time position immediately, upon hire; received incentive bonuses quarterly and annually; received free coffee, water, hot tea

Cons

Extremely restrictive call-center environment; call center customer service reps treated disrespectfully; virtually NO opportunity for thoughtful, creative, intellectual thinking (i.e. this job is only for people who can stand 'turning off their brains' and just doing what they're told, over and over and over again, all day, everyday, with little to NO opportunity to get away from your computer screen, headset, cubicle, and chair, or away from taking calls literally back-to-back all-day, everyday

Pros

Good pay, started at $14/hr but in February 2017 they increased starting pay to $16/hr company wide (by company wide I mean every city and state across the US). Benefits were good I paid roughly $50/week for health, dental, and vision insurance. 2 weeks of paid time off. Company van with gas card (could be brand new van or old van depending on what city you're in). Lots of hours so if you're looking for Overtime it's almost a guarantee here

Cons

Management will run you into the ground during busy times, you could work 8 hours one day and 12 the next. On several occasions I ran into problems getting the windshield out (replacing a windshield is not as easy as you might think) and tried to call management only to find out they were already home for the night already and the next closest installer was 45 minutes away. Worked till 8-9 pm on several occasions. Also the surveys that effect your potential weekly bonus do not work in your favor (it's easier to lose the bonus than it is to get it). I believe this is because more people would rather complain than give positive reviews. They talk a lot about the importance of work life balance yet don't care how much overtime you work so long as they are home by 5.
