Thanks for your review. Really great to hear the PTO works well for you and you achieve a good work life balance - two very important benefits for our people. We would like to understand what you mean about people's money being 'messed up' - we've asked around and don't know what you re referring to. Would you either drop me a line (glassdoor@sage.com) or speak so someone on SafeCall (the free & confidential number for reporting anything you believe affects our reputation - found in the Code of Conduct). Or contact your manager or your People Business Partner. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

Good people in the tiny US office; the UK portion of the team I was a part of is also great. Work life balance is nice.

Cons

This is a UK company that says it's putting an emphasis on the US, but this isn't the case. Within the last 6 months the team has been cut in half for a variety of reasons (lay offs, internal politics and leaving for better opportunities). I don't want to waste too much time going into the details, but it's not a place to work where you have legitimate growth opportunities. You can learn some nice things, but otherwise your basically put in a position where you do not have the resources to be successful.

Many thanks for taking the time to share this review. Since I joined 12 months ago we have indeed introduced a huge amount of change at Brightpearl to ensure we can execute against our growth plans and better serve our customers around the world. Central to our US strategy was a relocation of our HQ from San Francisco to Austin Texas. This was always a difficult decision as I knew it would impact the lives of our existing team in San Francisco. I love SF, but it was not the right city for us to drive our US expansion plans from. I wished we could have moved faster but am glad this change is now complete and we are now quickly ramping our US team as you advise. I respectfully disagree with your statement that we do not understand the Market, 30% of our customers are based in the US Market and our planned innovations are very much aligned to their needs. Regards Derek

Pros

The company culture changes rapidly from “Great” to “Good” to “Wait a sec here” and now “what’s going on here?!” just within the past few years. Knowledgeable and dedicated people to work with, most of them have great common senses on day to day business/performance. Sage does provide all round benefit coverage at an average market price for all employees, although it covers all general areas but there are many better options that Sage could have selected for its employees.

Cons

Work and life balance is a challenge, with the struggles between the business, leadership and the goals they are trying to achieve after numerous shortfalls, it’s just unrealistic.

Thanks for your review. It's great that our people are awesome - you're right, they are so knowledgeable. That's what makes Sage great, our people. Talking of knowledgeable and dedicated people - our Reward Team are just that, and they work hard to ensure our pay, benefits, rewards etc are competitive. Many of our colleagues do achieve a positive work life balance - and that's important to us as it's a win-win. May I suggest speaking to your manager about how this can be achieved as we all know the benefits of a good WLB. Thanks again for your feedback.
