PROFESSIONAL SERVICES / UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT
Pros
Nice, clean, classy. Beautiful city views. Clients receive exceptional treatment. Management does a great job of highlighting the best of San Francisco with food, souvenirs and tourist information and service. I made a few friends, but lost more because of the animosity that inevitably occurs due to lack of communication between management their staff. The building had the best doorman/security guard ever. He brightened my day everyday, no matter how bad I felt .PT Qualitative Assistants get to eat 5 star restaurant food, but only the scraps leftover after service unless you were in with the management, then your meal often ended up on the client's bill.
Cons
Management is verbally abusive. Supervisor would make negative remarks to me and select other coworkers about our weight. Made me do demeaning tasks to embarrass me into quitting. Finances were in such disarray that the police came into the office at one point. Employees were getting audited and legal hiring documents were missing and had to be re-signed without any explanation from upper management. Seemed fishy. Free parking for clients and participants, but not employees. If you don't live in SF or near a bart station, you have to drive. Often stayed until after 12am and had to walk by myself. Public transportation often doesn't run that late, so you get a taxi or sometimes I would just pay the $35 parking lot fee, which sometimes left me making negative money for the day. Supervisors were constantly dangling the promise of promotions to jobs that didn't exist and more hours that were never scheduled. Was told I would be working at least three shifts a week and ended up working two shifts in three weeks on three separate occasions and I'm still paying back rent.
