Pros

Overall, Samanage is an amazing company to work for and I am grateful to be surrounded by such talent . When viewing our company through a realistic and compassionate lens, you'll notice the endless attempt and mostly successful aim towards catering to the employees. The best part of Samanage is most definitely the people I work with. Even in a startup company where you might expect a cutthroat culture, you will find an immensely supportive community of coworkers endlessly willing to bend over backward for both their customers and comrades. I am excited to continue my career growth here while learning new things and working with amazing customers. I love being somewhere that encourages self exploration and gives me an opportunity to be an integral part of a company that's starting to own the spotlight in the ITSM world.

Cons

As a startup organization, there may be times where growing pains can get the best of us, however these pains are constantly being scrutinized and worked upon by upper management. They are not willing to ignore employee disgruntlement and encourage an open line of communication. This takes patience and understanding as an employee as we figure out how to handle new obstacles as a growing company. On another note, it would be nice to have a more flexible work from home environment and potentially more adaptable working hours. It's important to maintain a work-life balance that allows for family time and a healthy lifestyle. In all seriousness however, we are fortunate to have more flexibility than most employees in other types of careers or organizations, but it can never hurt to ask for more!

Pros

- small office - nice employee perks like bar in office, gym membership, unlimited PTO (also a con), retreats, etc. - Sales/engineering teams are treated like royalty

Cons

- cliquey - "unlimited PTO" = no holidays off - HR dept - CEO micromanages every aspect of company - drinking required - nerf wars all day long - frathouse w/ a sales team - if you aren't sales/engineers, they don't care

Thank you for your feedback. It's unfortunate that you did not have a positive experience as this is our goal for all of our people, regardless of role, manager or location. That said, positive doesn't mean perfect and we are always working to improve. We will review each one of your points and ensure every member of the team knows they are respected and appreciated.

Pros

- lots of yummy, healthy snacks for free - volunteering with local charities

Cons

- CEO micromanages every single employee - HR is basically department of "yes" girls - Unlimited PTO does not mean unlimited - Alcohol in an office sounds like a great idea, but it's a nightmare & several employees have received DUIs on their way home - Company bleeds money on luxuries but can't pay their employees the average rate and treats Israeli team like royalty
