Pros

- Some really talented people on the technical/development side of the business - Somewhat decent benefits for a smaller company

Cons

- CEO is short-sighted and difficult to trust and work with - Leadership only cares about product and doesn't act like they care about Sales team and the compensation it takes to attract/retain top talent - Lack of trust and confidence within partner community is a significant hurdle - Limited Enterprise vision and lack of an upmarket strategy will prevent them from becoming a big-boy software provider - Smaller SaaS companies can be ever-changing workplaces, but the CEO waffles and erratically changes direction on a whim - If you just want to sit at your desk 9-5 and sell downmarket deals from inbound web leads, it may be an OK place to work...if you're a true software sales professional, you won't find opportunities to thrive there - If you're considering a sales job here - especially on the Enterprise side - be sure to ask around the partner/Salesforce community about what their experience has been with Samanage

Thank you for the in-depth feedback you provided regarding your experience at Samanage. This is valuable to us, and we appreciate the time and thought that went into this review. We echo your sentiments regarding the Engineering team - they truly are a talented team. We wish your experience on the Sales team had been more positive, and we'd like to take this opportunity to address some of the points that you made. As a company, we are proactively taking steps to be transparent regarding the direction we are going. Our leadership team has begun hosting regular town hall meetings which allows our executives to present our strategy, plan, and focus to the entire organization. During our last gathering, the Sales and Product teams presented an hour of insight into our strategy behind becoming the leader in the ITSM space, all the way through 2019. We are an agile industry that at times requires pivots in our strategic direction. When these types of changes are made, they're meant to point us in a better direction and improve the company as a whole. We strive to have compensation and incentive programs in place that motivate and inspire our sales team to do their best work, and we will continue to improve on those programs as we evolve together as an organization. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Pros

Some really great people who work there. Community service encouraged. MacBook airs and two monitors for all employees. Snacks and drinks in office.

Cons

A few employees who are difficult to work with that make life hard on everyone. Lack of trust from leadership leading to bad decisions and micromanaging. Leadership all men and very much a boys club.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback regarding your experience with Samanage. We are grateful for all feedback, even the negative, as there is always room for improvement, especially at a company that is growing and evolving at a rapid pace. We are in complete agreement that there is a great team of people here at Samanage! And we’re glad you saw value in our Social Good and Community Service projects. The passion behind those initiatives comes straight from our Executive Leadership Team and truly flows from the top down. We’re disappointed to hear that a portion of your employee experience was negative. Our goal is for each employee to feel empowered to complete the job they were hired to perform, and to minimize micromanaging. Thank you again for providing feedback. This helps us focus on specific areas for improvement while striving to maintain an atmosphere of empowerment, diversity, and inclusion.

Pros

Come in and enjoy working with the best people in the Raleigh area and be on a team that wins and loses together. We get great benifits and work life balance. We have a Bar in the middle of our office and yes it’s fun even if you don’t drink! There is great career potential and ability to move around the organization and we see it happen all the time. We are asked to do challenging work with rewarding outcomes. Our CEO is engaged in the business and holds lunches with small teams so he can understand what’s working and what is not (does your CEO do that?) and takes action on what we say. Overall you will never come to work and be bored. The work is fun, the people are awesome and well the fun... is fun!

Cons

There are not many cons to write about to be honest. I think there can be a few improvements made around these few items: More flexible work from home program Larger fitness benefit (we want to be healthier) Would also like to echo on the previous review. We are a group of hard working people who love what we do, so before you chose to post a negative review here - think of everyone you are hurting. If you were let go and have a beef with the company, grow up, be professional and address it directly - don’t be a coward and post a public review that is #fakenews
