Pros

-There are high standards set in place so the quality of work is always excellent. -The benefits are incredible and I'd venture to say they are unmatched in this -industry. -The salary is really competitive and there is a great and very rewarding bonus program, as well. -They always look for ways to show employee appreciation, like with the annual corporate party! -Company growth is steady, but strong and is managed very well. -The company culture is friendly and encouraging. You're given multiple ways to have your opinion be heard, no matter what your title is. -There is a really great set of values within the company that are practiced every step of the way. -The company is run very efficiently; The Schellman approach is very refreshing in comparison to industry norms. -Management is always looking for ways to improve and be more dynamic and flexible. -Certifications are encouraged and there are several training opportunities -offered. -You actually learn in-depth information about the work; You're not just a trained monkey copying PY work and changing your initials. However, everyone is always willing to help you with any questions and coach you through new tasks. -Overall, it sounds too good to be true... But it really is as great as it seems.

Cons

A lot of responsibility and a very fast paced environment... Definitely not a place to sit around and kill time until 5pm. But if that's a con for you, you won't get hired anyway.

Pros

- The People - The Perks - The Parties - The Peace The People: I'm going to break this down layer by layer and keep it real. The people you work with here, are real. I have some Big 4 experience and one of my dislikes was the constant robotic banter and I don't get that here. When we are working, we are working. We are getting it done. This is a job; we are here to provide quality and superior product. There isn't that undertone of competition among co-workers which is incredibly refreshing. You come in to work each day to take on that project and it's just "understood" that the colleague you are assigned to that project with has your back. There's a finish line and you're both watching out for one-another's status to ensure the work is done and done right. The people - rock. The Perks - I would just like to shout out Lori Jendrucko. << I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that on here but I sincerely would like to show my gratitude. Lori was the first interaction I had with Schellman&Co when I considered joining. The majority of our conversation it seemed like was her explaining the laundry list of perks and then responding to my overly cautious questioning of the perks. Not a few; A Laundry List. I called my wife after my conversation with Lori because I didn't have pen and paper on me during our conversation and I didn't want to forget some of the perks -- There are that many. I told you at the start of this review that I am keeping it real. Hopefully you get a chance to speak to Lori and she can give you the laundry list of perks because there are honestly too many for me to list and I would surely forget some. *Refer to perks listed in other reviews The Parties - I'm going to be suspiciously brief in this portion of my review. You need to experience the annual company retreat on your own. I noted my past work experience above. I used to think Holiday parties were pretty cool. Then I joined Schellman&Co. We don't have a holiday party. If you are looking for a holiday party you need to sign up elsewhere. I traded in the 3 hour holiday party and got a 3 night stay at a luxury hotel for me and my wife once a year. Pay attention to the details my friends; they go all out. #PartyLife The Peace - This chunk of my review is the most interesting because it wasn't what I signed up for but has become a major Pro in my personal life. The peace. Like I said earlier in my review, we are here to get the work done. Since the communication on the ground is good, the work gets done efficiently and weekends you are not bothered. I am knocking on wood as I type these words but to date I have not felt "interrupted" during a weekend by a Schellman&Co employee. Surely an email may come through with a question about Monday logistics or a buddy asking you for a restaurant review but nobody is messing with your family time over a review note -- if you get my gist. I truly hope this review helps you out; Schellman is the real deal.

Cons

You're going to travel. I have been pretty lucky I believe and have only been traveling out of state about 20% but I know others here who travel double that. I will say top management seems very understanding when it comes to travel plans and family emergencies which is very nice.

Pros

Having previously worked for a company where the culture was extremely formal, and based on the old business model of 9AM-5PM. It's refreshing to be apart of a company with such a Millennium based model. Service and Delivery (Auditors) are in the field from Monday-Thursday, but are back home by Friday. In the event that an auditor has to travel on a Friday or over the weekend, the auditor would be eligible for a $500 bonus for domestic travel or an $1000 bonus for international travel. Additionally, auditors may even be eligible for a travel allowance in certain instances. This could be used for weekend expense or even to fly a friend or family member to your location. As for Operations, you are allowed to set your own hours. If you need to drop your kids off early, and work a 7AM-4PM schedule no problem. It's about setting your hours and keeping them consistent. You can even hit the gym during lunch since there is a gym on the 2nd floor! As for the office space for Operations, if you need a minute to gather your thoughts or blow off some steam, the break room has Golden Tee, darts, and an arcade machine loaded with games. The Operations team has nearly tripled in size in less than a year, but has managed to maintain a closet knit community. There's a lot of fun perks whether you are apart of Operations or Service and Delivery. This includes an annual trip where the company will pay for you and a guests. Past trips have included Key West, Las Vegas, and Cancun, and this year we are going to Scottsdale AZ! In the end it is about the work, but it's important to have a little fun too!

Cons

Growing pains. Not only has operations nearly tripled in size in a year, but the company as a whole has gone from 70 employees from summer of 2015 to nearly a 130 at the end of 2016. This isn't really a con since with the growth has come higher profits and more clients. However, as with any growth, there comes change, and with change come those who struggle with change.
