Pros

- Benefits are competitive in the industry and there is a great deal of work/life flexibility - Management is easily reachable and willing to discuss and provide feedback to employees at any rank - Fully remote opportunities across a variety of service lines

Cons

- Time reporting. This is a massive pro that used to set the firm apart from others. - Associates are generally underprepared in client facing roles (even those with a year of shadowing/field experience) than peers who come from Big 4 backgrounds - New tool implementations that were supposed to improve efficiency and audit capabilities continue to experience a variety of issues while transitioning

Thank you for the review! As we did implement new tools and processes this year, we do appreciate our team's flexibility and adaptability. Time reporting is necessary, not just for revenue purposes but, most importantly, to ensure that we maintain our excellent work-life effectiveness. Any additional input is greatly appreciated, and as you mentioned, our leaders are always interested in hearing all perspectives- please feel free to email us at feedback@schellman.com.

Pros

In 2009, we offered one service and had just "4" main competitors. After 15 years, what keeps me motivated every day is the way this leadership team continuously evolves to keep pace with the rapidly changing cybersecurity and compliance landscape. Over the years, we've developed market-leading services (e.g., PCI, ISO, FedRAMP) and witnessed numerous companies try to follow our lead. Throughout it all, we've remained true to our core DNA and first core value: putting people first. We support our people, their families, and our clients.

Cons

It's challenging, complex, and ever-changing work, especially when clients face their own financial and technological hurdles. Some long-time team members feel the pace of change has accelerated—and they're right, it has.

Thank you for your review and for your leadership! The firm has grown significantly over the years, but as mentioned, we remain committed to our core values to retain all of the amazing aspects it was founded on. We appreciate our ELT leading us into a bright future!

Pros

Executive Leadership, beginning with the CEO, all the way down the ladder, gives full and transparent updates for the whole firm. This really helps employees feel connected and a part of the firm having the understanding and knowledge of what makes the company tick.

Cons

The team that I'm on is very lean. Many opportunities are pushed to our team and we move very quickly throughout the year. There is very little time to take a deep breath and reset before the next opportunity is pushed our way.
