Leadership takes things personal and and uses your weaknesses against you when it’s time to promote and they are dishonest with you about your performance in meetings.

Micromanaging low pay

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Paid health insurance Okay benefits

Cons

The micromanaging has become worse over the years. Always busy. Calls come in every 7 seconds your barely left with any room to breathe let alone drink water in between calls. Favoritism is big in the department and you won’t get promoted unless you suck up to your supervisor. There’s no room to grow. They make it impossible to apply to other departments. They hold you to a high standard and the pay doesn’t compensate it. You’ll feel burnt out and they won’t care. There is a lot of working in the gray area if you say no to a member it’s pointless because management will just say yes even if you’re following guidelines. They don’t offer pay increases until it’s the annual increase of 50 cents or less or you get promoted which is nearly impossible. Pay is low for the high standards they expect out of team members. Sick pay policy is a joke. They only give you 24hrs for the year and anything outside of that you accrue points which lead to a write up. management could be better if they didn’t micromanage everything. You could barely take a bathroom break without them questioning why your off the phones for so long.

Pros

Teammembers are some of the kindest, more caring people I've met in my entire life. These are people who want the best for the Members and the team and who will sacrifice to make it happen.

Cons

Abuse of power from leadership creating a toxic, dysfunctional, and disorganized culture. Leadership is caught up in the nostalgia of the past and remembering how the team did Member Service before the world modernized. There is a lot of "working in the grey" for the Member, but it also serves to mask and normalize bad leadership behavior. This includes piling on work unrealistically without a sense of a project timeline, understaffing, not communicating, not collaborating, and not operating with an enterprise mindset or operational cadence.
