Lots of support for personal growth!

Pros

Security Innovation has grown tremendously over the past few years. I've seen a lot of change, and a lot of things remain the same. Most notably (and most fortunately), the culture has remained constant. There is a lot of freedom to tackle your own projects, and encouragement to try new things. These contribute to constant personal growth - both internally or externally. Additionally, the benefits are great, as-is the flexibility and support with regards to working remotely.

Cons

As with many small companies, sometimes TOO many people try to help with things - and only add confusion/chaos. However, I think that's not a very large problem, and more of a result of everyone wanting to help/contribute!

Pros

It has a lot going for it. Not only does it have some of the smartest folks I've ever met, but it's a great working culture. There's no vacation policy so if folks are tired they can take off and recharge when they need too. The money is good, the benefits are great and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there doing their thing.

Cons

Folks are spread out all over the country so the office, at least the HQ in Wilmington, can feel a bit ghost townish. The sales folks are all out beating the bushes and senior management are out promoting the firm and participating in the industry. Some folks like it a lot because its quiet. I find it a little too quiet sometimes, I like the hustle and bustle of a busy place and interacting with people more than working alone. Just say'in.

Pros

- The unbelievable amount of freedom that you get to do things however you see fit. It doesn't matter if no one agrees with you. You get to do what you want - obviously there is an upper (read: being stupid) limit but no one ever reaches there. - The management is super cool, super friendly and extremely tech focused, which means that better decisions get made - than if there were managers in charge who had no clue about technology. - No spoon feeding at all. At all. You're expected to do what you need to do to get the job done. Ask if you have a problem. But no one will walk up to you and show you how to do things. In short, the motto of SI is - Do what you want, do it how you want, do it when you want, don't be a jerk - just get it done.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any problems here. There's claims by people that they pay lower than outside, but honestly - it isn't all that bad. Sure, you could make more if you went out... *probably* - but its not like they're paying peanuts and tricking employees into working for them. Its very very reasonable.
