Pros

Best thing is the Claims adjusters and most of the front line unit managers. They for the most part are very hard working people who are trying to do their best to get a difficult job in personal auto claims done. Good 401k match, and pretty generous PTO.

Cons

Penny pinching salaries, and health insurance benefits leave you with a good amount in pocket if you have a spouse or kids. Terrible health plan. Senior Claims Leadership is disconnected and unresponsive to employee dissatisfaction in many work locations. Employee survey and year end reviews are ineffective at driving the needed cultural change with aging stodgy leadership and a younger and younger workforce. Limited advancement opportunities after 8 to 10 years in Claims. You can spend the last 25 years of your career at Sentry as a unit manager if you aren't part of the anointed inside groups.
