Decent pay, ample resources available for tech, near cutting-edge tech - great for financial sector

Cons

Depending on the team / project you are on, the job could be very comfortable and help you grow as an associate, or you could be under sustained pressure to deliver large projects.

Pros

Able to work remotely from home. Very fast paced so you'll never be bored or looking for something to do, which makes the time fly by so fast. The pay was good, pretty good. Management will really try to help you out and provide you with the tools and/or training to get up to speed. 401K employer match up to 10%, I believe, when I left the company. Your investments really takes off.

Cons

Working from home can be a considered a con if you aren't organized or manage your time well. You can quickly fall behind with your assigned claims. The medical benefits package was on the costly side. The workload was heavy and it really took a lot to meet the company standards for claims handling.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the work and the benefits. We recently asked for associate feedback about our benefits package. We’re currently evaluating what we offer, so I appreciate your additional feedback. Additionally, we recognize claims workloads can vary greatly, especially as we’ve continue to navigate volatile claim volumes due to the changing COVID-19 landscape. We’re constantly monitoring staffing levels and adjusting accordingly. We’re actively recruiting additional claim representatives to keep our workloads manageable. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Michele Dufresne – Chief Claims Officer

Pros

Good for the area. They pay for designation courses. Great if you are starting out in z career. Most of the employees are amazing.

Cons

They employ people who sexually harass others. If it's someone in management, no one will back you up and retaliation is only frowned upon. Corporate says they are family friendly and laid back, but it is not for single mothers.

I’m happy to see the positive feedback you shared, but concerned about some of your other comments. Sexual harassment and retaliation aren’t tolerated at Sentry. We take allegations of them very seriously and investigate those allegations when they’re brought to our attention. Please reach out to myself, your HR representative, your manager, or the company’s anonymous tip line with any information you have so we can address your concerns immediately. Additionally, we take associates’ mental health seriously and offer resources to help. Please contact our Health Services team directly or via myAnswers for more information. Among other assistance, we offer associates and their families mental health support through Sentry Work Life Resources. Finally, your comment about single mothers is concerning. We look to support associates both professionally and personally. I’d like to understand your concerns better—please reach out to myself or your HR representative to discuss further. Thank you for sharing your feedback and I encourage you to share your concerns through any of the methods listed. Javier Sotelo – Senior Director of Talent
