I was fired due to them saying I was changing patient statuses to “benefit the patient” so that sentence tells me there that they have no regard for actual patient care, and they’re more concerned about the money in their pocket. I was told by my direct manager we could change a no show status to a reschedule and avoid a fee as long as they had rescheduled after speaking with them and had a valid reason. I was fired for this, and the higher ups informed me that they spoke with my direct supervisor and she told them that she has never given me that direction, which is a lie. I had proof of clarification regarding that matter but they blocked my access to teams before I could defend myself. They said they saw me on the cameras tell a new hire I was training that we could change the status, but they failed to mentioned that in that same sentence I said “but let’s check with our manager just to clarify” so when our manager came into the room I asked yet again and she confirmed what I had said, which is on their cameras. The new hire validated that our manager did in fact say we could change it to a reschedule, but they did not care. They have proof of her giving this information to us on their cameras and still fired me. They also stated that I was spreading unhappy thoughts about Serenity to the new hire, but did not provide me an example when asked. When I asked the new hire what I might’ve said she was confused and said that I had only told her good things about the company. They make things up and make sure you have no way to defend yourself. Listen to what all these other reviews say, I did not listen and the same thing happened to me. My direct supervisors were talking about these reviews openly to us and when I started asking questions was when I started to get mistreated. They will fill your schedule to where you have zero breaks, they will ask you to change PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores so that insurance will pay for their TMS treatments, the only job you have as a PCA is a sales job. If you try to advocate for a patient you will be treated poorly. If you’re not meeting their “expectations” then you won’t make it very far. They watch you on the cameras regardless of having patients even though they say that these cameras are for quality assurance and safety purposes in their replies to these reviews in order to better serve patients, that is a huge deception that they’re trying to cover themselves with. They watch you freely and will twist your conversations to say what they want to have happened and then give you no opportunity to defend yourself. They will not train you effectively and a higher up told me himself in person “our PCA training process isn’t great” so you’re left to fend for yourself and even if you clarify things you are doing - you will not be doing the right thing. Their feedback system is demoralizing and incredibly inaccurate. I’m pretty sure patients aren’t aware that their sensitive private conversations are recorded and every single person in the company can view these videos. Incredibly violating for both staff and patients. They will practically force patients to do TMS and if their insurance doesn’t end up paying for it they are left with bills costing them thousands of dollars. The amount of patients I’ve had angrily tell me that they received a hefty bill is overwhelming and incredibly sad especially working in a mental health facility. I’ve had patients in tears following their failed TMS treatments after seeing how much money they have left to pay. They have zero safety protocols in place, there is no training on how to de-escalate or what to do in a crisis situation and will blow you off if you ask what would you would do in a dangerous situation. They’re replying saying these reviews are given by “disgruntled” ex-employees, but I’m seeing the fact that I was let go as a relief because I no longer have to return to a place where I almost became a patient myself due to the emotional stress that was constantly put on me and the pressure to get your TMS numbers up is overwhelming and trust me when I tell you that they don’t care about the mental health of their employees. There is no open communication and no amount of opportunity to fix mistakes you may have made without immediate termination. You are by yourself and you do not have a single person advocating for you in this company even if you try to do everything right and double check everything that you’re unsure of, which I have always done, but they will lie to cover themselves so fast so you’re on your own. My direct supervisor constantly reassured me that she was on our side and that we can always talk to her and trust her. This was so far from the truth and I fully believe I’m not the only person that this will happen to. Patients are not their priority and I was able to see that within a month of working there, which is on me for staying any longer but I was actively searching for other opportunities for the last few months that I was employed there because I saw so many things that made me so incredibly sick to be a part of, they just beat me to it and I would share this information whether I was fired or left on my own terms because I don’t believe this is a safe place to work. Save yourself and don’t even think about working here.
