      Pros

      The MENTOR Network has a terrific mission and dedicated frontline staff. There is a lot of collaboration across departments to advance the goals of the company.

      Cons

      At its Boston headquarters, TMN is not diverse, upper management is aloof and out of touch, and there appeared to be no system for performance reviews. Also, the health benefits were abysmal.

      Pros

      Great mission statement, I work in the Boston HQ, great location very close to South station and my commuter train pass is company paid (director level and above). A lot of long term employees (10 years +) in HQ.

      Cons

      The health insurance is extremely expensive with an enormous annual deductible to meet. The culture is not as professional within the senior management ranks as I would have expected. The organization behaves and manages within silos and cooperation across groups is not common. It seems many senior managers were promoted during the time of the IPO and perhaps it was premature due to the petty behavior exhibited. The IT infrastructure is archaic and the company struggles with capital investment decisions and extremely long and drawn out implementations.

      Pros

      office staff moral, getting to know consumers and making changes in their lives. benefits package was nice too.

      Cons

      salary was low, with no hope for raises. Corporate didn't take into consideration concerns from staff.
