I enjoyed working with the individuals we served.

Cons

Staff didn't support each other. Managers did not support their staff. I was on call 24/7. Staff retention was low. After working there for over a year, I applied to and was offered a higher position, and then it was taken away a week before my start date because "there is no longer a need". This was the most stressful, unorganized, company I have ever worked for. This job helped me to figure out what NOT to look for in a job in the future.

Making a difference in the lives of children in foster care. Good resume builder. Decent amount of vacation time.

Cons

Poor management. Direct supervisor with NO clinical skills. Late hours for home visits. Supervisor constantly accusing you of not doing your job. Zero supervision time. Supervisors harrass and bully. Revolving door mostly because all new employees have issues with a direct supervisor. Zero appreciation for all of the good work. Upper management will tell you things will change for the better but they won't. Salary is lower end of the spectrum and you will not get a raise.. ever. Mileage reimbursement is very low and you will do a decent amount of travel with your own vehicle. Supervisor will not help you to improve your clinical skills with constructive criticism and problem solving. Supervisor will talk behind your back to other coworkers. Unprofessional and petty.

It's a for profit business making money within non profit community

Cons

This company will only work out of states they deem they can make money from. It's been said a Financial Shared Services company can not exist with non-profit businesses but they are trying to prove that wrong. All the profit they make is from medical payments for services including multiple millions in Medicaid payments. Figure that one out. That is why employees are paid so low (non-profit) but management is so well paid. (for profit)
