Pros

Onsite cafeteria, the teams you work with are usually good and personable

Cons

Higher ups have no concept of communication and preparing before unveiling sweeping changes, departments don't often communicate with each other unless the rank and file take it on themselves to do it unofficially, incredibly regressive atmosphere in many ways, after being successfully remote for many years they nixed that policy with barely any notice and told people to deal with it or leave with no justification for WHY they changed it.

Pros

I love the environment and the people. They make sure the job is easy to start and that you feel comfortable moving up and moving jobs within the company. So many opportunities to learn and grow and build community.

Cons

Can be stressful, but coworkers help with that.

Pros

- employees have a choice in working remote (only offered if you worked as an intern first), in-person or in hybrid - 5k Friday: 1 hour on the first Friday of each month where employees are encouraged to take a walk and enjoy nature. - team buildings have really made me feel included on my team - opportunities to try new technology within our applications is generally supported - amazing profit sharing - team leads offer great support for learning and growing within the team - opportunities for moving to a position that better suits you - agile framework allows teams to address work in a way that is most efficient for them - lots of work to choose from so you don't get bored easily - yearly raises and opportunities to advance - limiting and resolving tech debt keeps incidents low - quarterly 1-on-1s with your manager to address concerns and goals

Cons

- huge push for back-in-office operations leave those who've moved away during remote operations isolated - 5k Friday used to be every Friday; employee appreciation is decreasing - very little interaction between teams - provided trainings don't always align with work - climate change is starting to negatively impact profits so there is little to no profit to share - management offers very little support to employees - management often doesn't listen to teams' opinions on action items' timelines or likelihood of success - many employees are overworked after moving within the company - management is obsessed with going "FAST" which results in more tech debt and bugs later - information silos develop since teams maintain 10-30 applications - starting wage is approximately 15% below average in the area - midnight testing - managers don't communicate with their employees more than a once every few months unless something urgent comes up
