      Pros

      Sometimes flexibility is allowed for those with children, depending on your director. New graduates or those wanting a foot in the door of social services and non profit are welcome. Good work in the community.

      Cons

      Dysfunctional and constant change in leadership. Little opportunity for advancement. Employees frequently subjected to unsafe and unhygienic working conditions. Rapid growth of organization is crippling due to lack of infrastructure. Frequent overhiring in some areas lead to knee-jerk downsizing - meanwhile other areas are consistently understaffed, underfunded, and overlooked by board and leadership.

      Good agency as a whole, depts are cliquey

      Pros

      It is a large agency with room to move around between divisions.

      Cons

      I worked in the crisis program and found the division director and upper management were very cliquey. The program coordinator does not know how to address people and often yells at staff or talks to them like they are stupid. If upper management doesn't like you they will do whatever it takes to force you to quit.

      The company was built with good intentions. Can be a family like atmosphere. Okay pay. Good benefits.

      Cons

      Could pay support staff more. Dishonest with money management and services provided. Favoritism blatantly shown toward some employees.
