We really appreciate your feedback! Shipt’s goal is to provide impactful benefits like unlimited vacation time, Target employee discount, autonomous work environment, and a competitive 401k. We look to leverage our resources with our parent company, Target, but we are independently operated. Thanks again for leaving your feedback

Favoritism plays a key role

Pros

You get perks like a wet bar and an abundance of snacks. Benefits are good.

Cons

Pay is low for entry level positions. Lateral moves dominate the low tier jobs. Favoritism plays a huge role in moving up. Can easily get stuck in a role you aren't meant for.

Pros

Great co-workers, collaborative environment, some brilliant minds. Good life/work balance, remote environment.

Cons

Shipt serves as a training ground for Target's emerging leaders, particularly those in executive and C-level roles. The aim is to groom these executives for higher responsibilities within Target. However, this arrangement has led to several critical challenges: Expertise Deficit: Executives and C-level personnel often lack the essential experience and expertise to effectively steer Shipt towards its objectives. This shortfall can undermine the long-term success and stability of the company. Misaligned Interests: These executives are primarily beholden to Target's strategic vision rather than being committed to the success of Shipt. Consequently, Shipt becomes a testing ground for initiatives aimed solely at benefiting Target. Communication Gap in Workforce Reduction: Despite a corporate slogan of "People First," recent layoffs were executed with no consultation with directors and managerial staff. Many employees, including those in leadership positions, learned about the layoffs through social media and external news outlets. Even post-implementation, there was no formal communication detailing the extent or the identities of those affected, leaving teams in the dark. Ethical Concerns Surrounding Layoffs: The manner in which the layoffs were executed raises questions about the company's ethical stance.
