Not a firm to work for for an extended period of time

Pros

Fun environment at first but in the end all the partners care about is billable hours. Jim Sikich though is a class act however he is not too involved anymore. Benefits are good and cheap. Good Image for Accouting Profession

Cons

Dynamics Consulting motto” Bill first negotiate later” Seems that growth by acquisition is not the correct path. Customers are wholly unhappy and end up leaving for other Dynamics Partners. Employees are given freedom to growth or fail. Most goals are unattainable effecting raises. Firm partners argue all the time and put employees in the middle. Technology side requires mandatory overtime of 10%. Bad image for Consulting and Technology

Stay away

Pros

-Remote work -Paid for CPA study material -Bonus for passing CPA exam

Cons

Where to begin? The training was essentially nonexistent. You get thrown off the high dive with little guidance. I felt the partners and managers were condescending and disrespectful considering the lack of guidance. The pay was terrible and the merit increase was a slap in the face. Opportunities for advancement were dangled but not given. Annual reviews were very subjective, and qualifications and expectations for promotions were unclear. The benefits were incredibly expensive. Time off requests were required to be submitted months in advance. The scheduling strategy is pool based rather than location based. I was asked to travel out of state multiple times rather than have someone from the office in that city participate on a job. Executive leadership was incredible vague. It always felt like they were hiding something and refused to answer questions from employees during town hall meetings. One of the worst employment experiences I’ve ever had. Stay far away.

Trying to act like one of the big boys

Pros

There used to be some positives before the private equity investment but nothing positive after that. Great place if you are not interested in actual work but can play office politics or push blame on others.

Cons

Sikich is a small player that is trying to put on the big boy pants without actually growing up. If you work for the big boys at least you are compensated properly, have exit opportunities, etc. none of that exists here. The quality of people they can attract or hire is really low but then are expected to either turn low quality workers into superstars or pick up their slack. I would strongly advise staying as far away from this mess of an organization as possible.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take the insights of our team members very seriously and care about your experience. We would like to work with you to better understand and address your concerns. We encourage you to reach out to your direct manager, if you haven't already. And this would be a very good opportunity to also connect with your dedicated Human Resources Business Partner who can talk through your experience and help find resolution. They are ready and eager to help. We hope you take us up on it. Thank you.
