Knowing that the founder, Jim Simons, is Robert Mercer's business partner (Renaissance Technologies). Confrontational management, obsession with changing technologies every other week, working in a hermetically sealed bubble closed off to the real world. Progress is measured by volume of paper.

Marilyn Simons is no longer the CEO, unfortunately. The CEO is disconnected with staff unless their area is of interest (at least thats how it felt to me). They make decisions from a pedestal, only sometimes pretending to hear the opinion of others. The office is beautiful, but the divisions among departments and teams are incredibly hard to breach, which is so unfortunate. There is little room for growth. When anything goes wrong, they love to knock someone down as an example and ignore the true problem, which is often far more complicated.
