Not sure how they justify paying excessive salaries and bonuses to so many, below average employees in various leadership roles, many who lack worthwhile experience and have no real skills to speak of. Why do they have so many people working in HR? It’s not like they are adding value, nor are they doing anything meaningful for their employees. All HR does is push DEI down people's throat, without any regard to the damage it's doing to the teams in various departments. Their company mottos: "No Ego", "Lift as you Climb" etc. is nothing but virtue signaling, there are no real leaders there, just a bunch of cowards that will never challenge the status quo. This is not a place to be if you want to grow in your career, as others have said, SimpliSafe promotes mediocrity.

Unfortunately, I had a really hard time here. If you're a high performer who pushes back, you won't succeed here. This organization not only accepts, but promotes mediocrity. This org punishes designers who speak out, try to uphold the craft, and push for high quality work and thinking. There were limited growth opportunities for me here, and if I had been worse at my job I probably would have been promoted sooner. Lack of competent management is the root cause.
