Pros

- High-caliber talent. - The engineering leadership is getting stronger. - The company just raised a large round and is well-funded. - Huge product and market potential. The company will either see explosive growth or death in the next few years. So go big or go home.

Cons

- Lots of turnover and the executive team has its own internal circle due to their origin. - Pay could be better. - The equity doesn’t worth much right now.

Great company with a bright future

Pros

Engineering team is world-class and extremely selective (see Quora results for "hardest software engineering interviews"). Company is solving a very real problem businesses have and is beating out incumbents who have been around for decades. Office is great, with a ping-pong table, catered lunch and dinner daily, a cute dog running around, and workstations you can customize to your whims.

Cons

Like any pre-IPO startup, not really clear how much equity compensation is worth. Also seems to have high turnover like most startups. Not too much training when I first joined as it is a hyper-growth period right now.

Pros

The product - The best multi-purpose database to build next generation apps on.

Cons

- The work environment is stifled by fear, largely due to leaders who lack a true understanding of technology but present themselves as tech experts. - Every month brings a "new strategy", leading to confusion and a lack of clear direction. - There's obvious special treatment for those who brown nose. at the same time, questions on management operations are not tolerated. - The CEO treats the company more like a personal lifestyle business rather than a professional organization focused on growth and innovation.
