Leadership can't help but outsource to India The work that isn't outsourced yet is stuff nobody wants to work on They keep laying people off in waves It is hard to care about making a quality product when leadership only cares about saving money On call is noisy

Interesting product. Some great engineers to work with. The new leadership is strong. Smartsheet was suffering from a lot of wastage and subpar talent and coasting culture. That is now gone thanks to the recent restructuring. Not to say we lost some great talent in the restructure, we did. I am happy to be working at Smartsheet with significantly less waste and better, meritocracy-based performance culture instead of “who do I know” based promotion culture. Lots of growth opportunities- a lot of meaningful and impactful work to do. And you will have leadership support to take on those. The recent lay offs were absolutely necessary. We were overcrowded.

Cons

We lost some real talent due to layoffs unfortunately. Hope we can rehire those excellent engineers.
