Pros

Decent Healthcare, pay is decent and you can hit your OTE even if you miss your number with a god accelerator program

Cons

Everything has turned pretty ugly since the acquisition. There may be light at the end of the tunnel, but I would not want to be a new employee right now.

Pros

Remote work seems to be here to stay.

Cons

A ton of turnover of sales leadership and individual contributors. Sales GTM strategy has faced significant changes in the past year that were poorly planned and executed.

Pros

Smartsheet offers a solid product with extensive integration capabilities. Despite experiencing some customer churn, the overall customer base remains strong, and those who use Smartsheet absolutely LOVE it. The talent on the Solution Engineering team is top-notch, providing exceptional support. There are ample resources available to assist with discovery, demos, and execution, ensuring success on the job.

Cons

The pay at our company is unfortunately not competitive with the market, typically falling around $10K less than our competitors. The shift to comply with Washington State laws has resulted in Account Executives becoming hourly employees, leading to the removal of unlimited PTO. Managers often find themselves in their roles without proper mentorship, which can lead to challenges in team guidance and development. While it's good that some underperforming leaders have departed (including some Directors/VPs) since the company went private, morale remains low. There's a noticeable lack of camaraderie among internal teams within divisions. There's a significant focus on the Enterprise sector, leaving other divisions feeling unsupported and neglected at times.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are incredibly proud of the talent that we have at Smartsheet. Every year, we review our compensation plans to ensure that we remain competitive in the market. To comply with the revised Washington State Labor Laws enacted on January 1, 2025, certain changes were required. With regard to your feedback on our managers and training/mentorship our Talent Development team has training and tools for managers that live within our Manager Development Center. We are actively working to better promote resources. We appreciate all of your feedback and wish you the best in your next endeavor.
