Pros

air conditioning, half-off decent burgers, its easy to quit

Cons

the back of house work is literally impossible to accomplish with how they make the schedule. here are the duties I am expected to complete from 10pm-10:30pm: Wash, stack, and dry 3 sinks complletely full of dishes. Clean, wash and dry 10 vents. Sweep the kitchen. restock the line, deck scrub and squeegee the floors. Cover the line with lids/cling-wrap. Refill the sauces and clean the lids. line all of the trays. make sure equipment is turned off and clean. Take out the laundry. take out the trash. Clean out the sinks, dry off the make table. Restock cups and lids. Wash all of the front of house dishes (like tea containers and icecream stuff). Meanwhile, the front of house people are talking on the phone wiping off tables getting paid the exact same wages as me.

Pros

decent pay when you are running a shift, bad pay when you are not. free food? free soda.

Cons

impossible to go anywhere in this company i have more job-codes and separate pay rates than i do pairs of shoes. it is annoying having to clock in as a "manager" only after the general manager leaves the store EVEN though all shift long you are required and expected to perform manager tasks at minimum salary. It is very difficult to maintain a separate part-time job while working at Smash burger because the shifts are so sporadic and inconsistent every week is different than the last, not to mention the fact that you are "coaxed" into working during your 30 minute break of your 14 hour shift. Company never pays overtime and cuts labor in an unnecessary fashion leaving people at night time under staffed and over worked. no employee benefits or healthcare no overtime or time and a half. the company instills a strong presence of self worthlessness meaning you have no structural value to the company and could quit the next day they wouldn't care. SmashBurger makes you feel like you are working ONLY so that the people above you can get their bonus' while you live paycheck to paycheck at hardly 35 hours a week and a schedule with no constancy.

Pros

I work with a lot of awesome people and friends at my Smashburger location. Everyday I have an enjoyable shift because the people I work with are always nice and respectful to each other. Here we are more like big family rather then just a group of people making food. There are often opportunities to move up as long as you are showing initiative. Very flexible hours and a management team that will always listen to any concerns you might have and try to fix them as soon as they can.

Cons

I do not really have any cons except for if you do not plan on moving up in the company very soon it is difficult to get raises that would be fit for a longer term employee.
