Pros

The CEO and the executive team are mission motivated to leverage technology to improve our waters. They live and breathe it. There is no fluff here! The company is growing fast and the team invites you to be innovative and creative. The company has a great balance of diversity and has created a team with a lot of unique work experiences.

Cons

CHANGE - Sofar Ocean is a startup and with that comes constant change. I embrace it but if you don't like change and growth then this might not be the company for you.

Lively and inclusive company culture, awesome office and amenities, friendly executive team, good benefits/comp, consistent and fun employee engagement

Cons

Like any start-up, things change quickly and need to pivot strategies to accommodate, but if you like that environment, as I do, then that negative is subjective

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience. We are definitely proud of the work/life balance that we have maintained for a growth startup. It's important to us that people are able to take the time to recharge, connect with people that are important to them, and, when possible, connect with nature. We only have 1 planet and 1 ocean (okay technically 7 depending on who you're asking) so while we work to save them we also want people to enjoy them.
