However, the politics that goes on in this company is what can potentially poison the culture and overall experience they are trying to create. I think senior leadership is enabling toxic leaders and personalities. If you can turn on your charm and have the appearance (more so BS your way) of being a high performer, you will be fine. If anything, you will thrive. These types of people will crush you if there is any form of incentive for them personally. It's disappointing to see Sonder having so much potential, and this could all come crumbling down, leading to the team falling apart because of this. The People team has the responsibility to execute a great work environment. From my understanding and experience, they are not delivering and meeting the standards they have set.

There is definitely a bro culture among management they come across as very nice and understanding. However, over time it is clear that there is underlying discrimination, racism, and disrespect. I was told in the interview that I would be hired on as an Admin assistant and would rarely be out in the field, but barely a week into the job I began feeling like more of an errand girl. I also felt discriminated against by management which is very unprofessional.
