      Pros

      I love being a team member of Sonepar USA. They pride themselves on the friendly and respectful culture they have cultivated over many years in the electrical distribution industry. Sonepar is constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and improve the business. Unlike other national companies, you do not become just a number or a face lost in the crowd. The leadership team truly cares about educating you on industry best practices and helping you grow within the company. They understand that the company's survival and growth depends on every individual employee. Never before have I felt so welcomed and appreciated by my coworkers and my employer. This is a forward-thinking company that is always open to new ideas and cares about both the company's future and your future within the company.

      Pros

      Ever changing working environment that keeps you on your toes-never a boring day at the office.

      Cons

      Professional exterior, but once you begin to learn your job and become a contributor, you realize those that have been around a lot longer are far more connected and will use any of your experience, skills to their betterment. My experience was immature, lower-management that was intimidated of someone coming in with a degree and experience.

      Growing Company with a lot of opportunity

      Pros

      Sonepar USA is continually growing. I've only been working here for 4 months and we've already had one acquisition. Add that to the existing 16 operating businesses, it creates a unique and diverse corporate environment. I've had the opportunity to work side-by-side with leaders in Human Resources, Logistics and Safety, Key Accounts/Sales, and IT and I can attest to the fact that leadership at Sonepar is focused and committed to safety, employee development and training, listening and acting on our customers' needs, and building a sustainable and profitable business. There are a lot of moving pieces, but the pieces do fit together into one puzzle! Other pros: - Being a part of a privately-held company means we are not on a quarterly reporting cycle - I'm French. So, a perk for me is interacting in French sometimes with our Paris-based holding company colleagues. But, don't worry, their English is perfect.

      Cons

      If you don't know much about the electrical or industrial distribution industries, don't let that keep you away. I knew nothing and I'm doing okay. I'm not overwhelmed. Maybe your job would be tied to one of the amazing Training Programs I've come across.
