Pros

Like other people have said there are a lot of people at Spring Health who are motivated by the mission for mental health which is motivating.

Cons

There are two types of reviews here for Spring Health. A whole bunch of one star reviews and only a few high star reviews. The one star reviews are written by employees who have had to deal with the CEO April. She is often rude and micromanages every department. She pushes to have her way even when she knows nothing about what is being talked about. So many talented people have left the company because they can't stand her even when they like the team. Look at her approval rating. 22%. You have to actually work hard at mistreating people to get a score that low. The high star reviews are the few reviews that have been written by people who haven't had to deal with the CEO. If you think that because you're an entry level employee that you will not have to deal with the CEO if you join the company think again because she is a very skilled micromanager. Like others have said here stay away from here to protect your mental health.

Pros

company motto. Other departments. Growth culture. perks

Cons

No management Training. The boss I had was the worst micromanager, was threatening us within 3 weeks, was unorganized and said one thing (she wanted us to take organization to next level) but once we tried to implement she didn't like it. She talked about her employees behind their backs. She was led by her emotions and didnt like when other team members were more successful than her. she couldnt remember what she said or did and then punished you when she thought something different. she thought that all team members should be involved in every single project and all act like leaders of the project (which creates confusion and workflow issues). She would get upset if you used the word "I" anywhere in your communication. She would constantly accuse your of "siloing" her in your communication with other team members (even if you just asked them a simple yes or no question)

Pros

Remote, higher pay than similar roles, free therapy, many colleagues are kind and intelligent, the mission is impactful

Cons

The pay is higher than other roles because they ask for way too much. It's true that people start medications or have panic attacks here for the first time in their lives (you will need the free therapy they offer), and care support workers regularly go on stress leave. Every second of your day is squeezed for productivity to the point where taking breaks doesn't happen and you are multi-tasking to an unhealthy point. Your schedule is crammed and always changing, but it is never enough to finish your work. Members therefore think you are not working or blame you for delays, and most of this job entails being abused and harassed over leave paperwork. You handle a million interruptions every day on top of talking all day to people who are not well... all without actually having enough time to do your job. They refuse to hire enough people to handle the work they have at the high standard they expect, and workflows are complicated and differ based on customer. There is an individualistic culture of perfection here and asking what more you can give to them. If you are good at your job, they will put you in committees or assign other work without asking and will constantly have you cover for others. They weaponize data to squeeze more from care support instead of removing obstacles for the team (they seem to enjoy finding a new way to watch statuses or punish you for needing 3 extra minutes after one of your back-to-back calls to follow their insane workflows required for a good QA score), and it has been especially terrible this year. At this time, it isn't worth sacrificing your health and well-being. You won't be able to grow, and nothing has improved in months. I keep wanting to thrive at Spring Health and continue, but I don't feel like a human being.
