Pros

I was looking to work at a mental health startup and I could not have gotten luckier joining the Spring Health team. Not only is the team is driven, bright, and kind, they are laser-focused on making the mission of the Company a reality. At the same time, there is an emphasis on work-life balance. Everyone is respectful and aware that each member of the team has a life and family outside of work. The founders April and Adam are wonderful to work with. They know when to step in and provide guidance, but also when to take a step back and let a team member run. They are enjoyable to be around and partake in social activities outside of our normal work setting when their schedule allows, such as working out together. I am so proud to work at this Company and would highly recommend it, especially for folks who are itching to change the mental health status quo.

Cons

Currently, a fair number of the team is remote.

Pros

In just a short time here at Spring, I have learned a tremendous amount both professionally and personally. On the professional side, my team emphasizes skill-building. There is a culture of honest feedback, both positive and critical. On the personal side, the company mission here is more than just lip service. It has been an amazing experience to work at a place where everyone is so committed to their mission.

Cons

One of the company values is "move fast", which comes with both pros and cons. The emphasis on speed can sometime lead to decisions being made without an adequate understanding of the future consequences.

Pros

Great, smart, genuine coworkers who actually cared.

Cons

Mission of company is very disingenuous with how founders act and behave. Another reviewer put it best -- "typical overeducated and inexperienced millennial management" - this company is like an ego trip for the founders. They don't treat employees and prospective candidates with respect, and it shows. It's not surprising to see all these negative reviews even though they're still a very small company. I've worked at other companies (small and big) that care more about their employee's mental health and their company's culture more so than this so-called "mental health" startup.
