A Shameful Display of Greed and Incompetence

Pros

There are some incredibly brilliant and kind people still there. Those people genuinely want to drive change both internally and externally.

Cons

My experience at Spring was one of the most disheartening periods of time in my life. If you're looking to find caring, honest and innovative leadership, look elsewhere. Money is all that matters to Spring and every action taken reflects that. From the top down, they do not value their employees as anything more than numbers to drive their inevitable IPO. Even with being vocal about gripes, nothing was ever taken seriously or viewed as anything more than one more person complaining. With people leaving in droves, I hope they realize that action needs to be taken sooner rather than later to right their innumerable wrongs or their IPO won't be going very well.

Pros

Nothing. Don’t work here. Worst job ever.

Cons

All this company cares about is numbers. Imagine working at a mental health company that burns you out while simultaneously making you feel unsafe to ask for time off because you’ll get “dinged” for taking some. Point system for absences/sick days. What is this? Kindergarten? Don’t believe the unlimited PTO. Never been more micromanaged in my life. Prepare to constantly be slacked by people pretending to care when really they want to know why your call took an extra 5min to wrap up. Many employees stay later just to hit their metrics for the day. Inbound call shifts leave you with little time for anything else unless you’re GLUED to your laptop without so much as a bathroom break. Would never recommend this company to anyone. Seems as though they hire a lot of young people straight out of college so they don’t really know any better. They are severely underpaying for the amount of output they’re asking for. If you currently work there, just know there are better places. You’re being robbed.

Pros

Intelligent, hard working coworkers and clinicians

Cons

Can you believe some of these reviews that give Spring 5 stars and blame the EMPLOYEE for being toxic??? Sounds like someone is trying to do some damage control without accepting any responsibility for creating a horrible workplace culture! Anyone who truly understands the complexities of mental health and wellness would know that silencing employees, micromanaging them, and expecting them to bend over backwards for customers who have ridiculous demands leads to burnout and high turnover! What a concept! But Spring is run by investors who want to see a return on their investment, plain and simple. So Spring will make you do unethical things in order to bring in that money. Now if that is your jam, then you are in the right place. But if you’re someone with morals and who has a real understanding of what it means to provide or receive mental health care, then please look elsewhere. It’s not worth it.
