Engineering work could be exciting and challenging. Continually have new projects to work on. New families of parts always being introduced.

Cons

Engineers responsible for everything on projects without ability to get other departments to do their job. Any time ask for help from others looked at as complaining about system. Very old school- 80's frat house mentality in engineering department. Parts and assemblies moving to China and Mexico that are easily outsourced.

Compensation program, bonus potential, stock options.

Cons

Company is very successful and the attitude is we are making money no need to change. Lots of hang on employees that are on "advisory" roles. They tend to be blockers to any type of change.
