Pros

Competitive pay, allowed to live at other properties besides your own and still use employee discount, bonuses are frequent and competitive.

Cons

Unorganized, lack of job security, managers are not receptive to feedback, each community runs entirely different which means policies are changed often and not properly followed by all, corporate and on site managers make up policies as they go along, people are often promoted based on friendship and not actual skill which results in high turnover and more disorganization, too much gossip and finger pointing, certain regionals set unrealistic goals and do not listen to on site staff with differing opinions, managers are often not trained well and in turn do not train staff well, professional and highly skilled employees usually quit or are let go so it’s hard to get close to anyone in your same position who can be of any help, if you voice your opinion and upper management disagrees you will be written up if you happen to not buy into their demands or jump when they say so, if they want someone they are friends with to have your job they will relocate or fire you to promote them regardless of skill set and blanket it as “promoting within”, Human Resources is also highly unskilled so if you feel you’re being bullied or discriminated against, they will not talk to you and will instead patronize you and speak to your manager about you without asking for your input until it’s too late, if you worked for another more successful company before, you will easily and quickly see that Steadfast does not follow all Fair Housing and Employment Laws nor do they follow important industry standards. Certain regions often have unwritten rules that you will be disciplined for if you break them but because they’re blatantly illegal- they do not put them in writing. If you say anything about their lack of professionalism or voice concern over things you feel are unfair, prepare to be passive aggressively taunted until you quit, are unceremoniously fired, or you sue.

Thank you for taking the time to write this detailed review to address your concerns. I’m sorry to hear your experience at Steadfast Companies did not match our intentions. While I may challenge some of your statements, I do recognize we can make improvements throughout the Company, and I have personally initiated a number of changes in staffing, policy and resources to improve our systems, technologies and practices. As an organization, we are diligently working towards improving our operations. This includes hiring the most qualified associates, implementing new training techniques, and providing better support and development for our Community Managers and Regional Teams. As we embrace these changes, I firmly believe that we will emerge a stronger Steadfast. We are committed to providing a positive employment experience and value each member of our team. Please know that I take your feedback seriously and will look into the concerns you have brought to my attention. Thank you again, and I wish you all the best. Rodney Emery, CEO

No longer a great company who lives by their CORE values

Pros

Pay and bonus structure is great!

Cons

Company use to live by their CORE values and all of a sudden have stopped. Good, hard working employees are harassed by non-working employees refusing to do their jobs and HR does not allow manager to correct on-site. Policy is different and changes per regional manager. Nothing is consistent and everyone does what they think is right and base their decisions off emotions.

Thank you for the feedback. Over the past several months, Steadfast has seen a number of changes that affect associates throughout the organization. Please know that our Core Values are still the foundation under which Steadfast Companies will operate. Our teams are working diligently to streamline processes, improve hiring quality, and retain talented associates. I am personally invested in this and have faith that we will emerge from these changes a stronger Steadfast. I value, and take very seriously, all feedback that is sent my way. Communication with associates is my primary focus as we introduce new technologies and improvements throughout the organization. I appreciate your candor in bringing this issue to my attention.
