      Pros

      Stem genuinely cares about its employees and shows that by offering incredible benefits and cultivating a strong company culture. Stem fosters a collaborative environment that encourages employees to achieve goals as a team, rather than create competition (and tension) between employees. It's so refreshing to work somewhere that prioritizes employee health and happiness.

      Cons

      Typical start-up pains such as not having enough people to cover all the work sometimes or missing certain processes. But Stem is growing quickly and is currently working on building out its infrastructure and putting processes in place. I feel confident in Stem's plan of action to address these pain points.

      Pros

      collaborative, team-oriented, weekly all hands, good benefits, opportunities for growth, values driven, leadership is available & hands-on, not a lot of politics, staff come from all different backgrounds, exciting industry to be a part of

      Cons

      missing structure/process sometimes, hard for more junior staff to know how to progress their careers, company has to keep pace with a rapidly changing industry which can create growing pains, if there isn't resources for a project you're interested in doing it's hard to move it forward

      life/work balance Nice people to work with

      The company is full of smoke and mirrors, they promise you a lot and deliver nothing of what was promised. They will offer you a grant of stock (that then gets devalued a year later by the board) and that you cannot exercise the more you try, they "try to help" but dont solve anything, they dont really care about investments of people in their stock. There will be no salary reviews, if you ask for one you will get laid off. The company just laid off 20 people without any notice, just blocked everyone out of slack and sent them an email. Management does not really care about you or your life, there is an "only friends get stuff" vibe, promotions are just for the people that are friends with management.
