Pros

Worst company I have ever worked for. Upper management is very inexperienced. Full of immature project execs and operations managers

Cons

Micro management Upper management lies and blame lower level people to cover their bases There is always a problem with team dynamics.

Pros

The pay and benefits are good.

Cons

I have never been so disgusted by leaders at an organization than I was while I was at Suffolk. They are deceitful and have no morals or values. They rule by intimidation and scare tactics and run their people ragged. People spend countless hours running around and pulling together reports so that leadership can answer to John. No one is willing to stand up for what is right and there is no such thing as loyalty. The leaders at the top have no operational experience and the ship is sinking. It will eventually fall apart just like the Boston bid for the Olympics did. Sad state of affairs.

Pros

The culture at Suffolk has always been strong, but never stronger than in the response to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The examples of people stepping up to take care each other and of our clients and trade partners are impressive. Teams are getting stronger, we are embracing technology, and our leadership has been incredible with their communication. John Fish, the CEO regularly tells the whole company that he, personally, has got our backs and to contact him directly if we have any concerns. On every company call (which are happening twice a week now) the leaders emphasize that this global crisis will only make us stronger because we are prepared, we are strong, and every one of us is stepping up to meet the challenge.

Cons

You have to be willing to work HARD at this company. This is not a typical 9-5 job. Priorities change constantly, and expectations are high.
