Pros

If you have no experience in digital marketing and don't mind being treated like a doormat than this is the company to learn in. Staff retention is extremely poor so you can make good use of the referral scheme

Cons

Some senior management lack knowledge, skills and do not treat staff with respect. Conversations about clients budgets are all about doing as little work as possible whilst charging the earth for it. Expert opinions are dismissed if they do not fit with the managements plans. A lot of the practices carried out are very old school, forward thinking is not accepted and due to this clients suffer. All staff are punished for mistakes made by other teams

Pros

Summit is a place where you can cut your teeth in the world of marketing. Had it not been for what I had learnt at Summit, I wouldn’t have been able to move on to a more senior role. Wide mix of large retail clients giving you hands on experience in the industry. It also has some of the most hard-working and dedicated people I had ever met, including a HR team like no other. They are compassionate and truly care about each individual in the business. Prior the the pandemic, the benefits were numerous including a lovely weekly staff lunch and breakfast - it would be great for these to return now office working can resume. Experience for life each year to try something you’ve never done before. Generous sick pay and health insurance scheme.

Cons

The company is undergoing a restructure allowing more progression and new job titles, which is great, but this came too late for me and that’s frustrating as I made my aspirations very clear over the course of my 4 years there. There are individuals in people management roles who really shouldn’t be, and this desperately needs addressing. I can see other reviews have mentioned something similar so I won’t go into any further detail. There seems to be a golden halo around certain individuals who now feel like they are untouchable. Some of the things said to me in my last few weeks were for want of a better word, nasty.

Pros

The office in Willerby is nice and querky. Average salary, and you do work with some nice colleagues.

Cons

Feel like you're treated like a robot and senior management are very condescending with lots of elitism on show. Seem to brag about holding great parties.
