Pros

- free things... which really isn't one, considering it is pretty much taken from your pay since you will start at below market standards for Recruiters in Chicago but be promised to have the ability to make so much on commission (which will never happen). - leadership that encourages a "fun" environment where you can drink at the office and go out with co-workers after.. causing there to be absolutely no work life balance in your life. You are looked down upon for not wanting to stay late and participate in everything.

Cons

- very late hours - unreachable goals - base salary is below market standards -lack of support from management - lack of diversity in employees - very condescending leadership - pure favoritism

Pros

I was placed in a great assignment, hours work perfect and I enjoy the work I do.

Cons

Swoon as a staffing agency constantly drops the ball. They avoid you once time sensitive issues come up. They are by far the worse staffing agency I've ever encountered.

Swoon is Quiet Firing!

Pros

There are some genuinely hard-working, great people at this company.

Cons

Swoon is playing a very passive, yet dangerous game and is quiet cutting/quiet firing. Especially over the last 6 months, executive leadership has implemented several tactics to get employees to leave on their own because they don’t want to report layoffs - it’s been a horrible way to reduce headcount. Some of these tactics have included a return-to-office mandate (continuously increasing the number of in-office days), unrealistic metrics (and then quickly putting employees on PIPs when they aren’t met - so that they can term people “due to performance”), and a large internal restructuring where some employees were managed out of their roles (their position was eliminated - they were offered a “similar” role but with more responsibilities and lower pay). Swoon has NOT been transparent or open about why these recent organizational changes have occurred, but in part it’s to mask the economic distress they’re in, and as a result a lot of high-performing employees no longer feel respected, valued or supported and have left/are leaving the organization.
