Pros

Decent growth potential if you can stick it out. Moving into a sales position is the best way to maximize earning potential. A good place to gain experience. President’s club incentive. Recently moved away from recruiting for entry level positions which can be a headache.

Cons

Really poor base salaries, not nearly competitive enough with the market. Lack of trust with management. Metrics are to be expected but Swoon’s are significantly higher than multiple more well established firms. Terrible turnover, and not the typical “to be expected it’s agency recruiting” turnover, but rather a red flag that something needs to change from a leadership standpoint. A constant expectation to work late or put in time on the weekends. Leadership runs around trying to preach work life balance, but will also praise employees that work on weekends on company wide email chains, the message gets lost and the delivery feels stale. 401K doesn’t kick in until 12 months.

Pros

You can make great commission if you work hard but a lot of things are out of your control in staffing. Decent PTO and anniversary gifts/incentives are desirable. That's about where my excitement begins and ends. Swoon has gone down hill very fast in the last year as the low reviews show but management is turning a blind eye and acting like we should be fortunate to work here.

Cons

Read the reviews. The only 5 star reviews are so obviously written by management. Obvious favorites when it comes to giving out accounts that need support. Most sales reps don't make it too long, their goals are impossible to reach in a 40 hour work week and training is a joke. CRM is trash and does not sync to email so a lot of time is spent on admin work. I've personally experienced having several different managers to report to over a 5 year tenure and KPIs change often for sales. Beware of PIPs which management think will motivate you but it really just makes you feel unvalued and wanting to leave. Doing your best is never good enough, I'm exhausted.

Pros

This place offers free beer and has a bunch of great people working on the IT and Pro teams. I think the office is stunning and a great place to host events.

Cons

The management has the worst training in place. They force people to post on LinkedIn and twitter. The owners are not engaged in the company whatsoever. Everyone gossips and stabs each other in the back. The base salary is horrible and the directors are the only ones who can make placements consistently. The favoritism is obnoxiously apparent.

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and certainly acknowledge that after a mere 5 years of “start-up” mentality, improvements will continue to be made. We foster an open-door environment where owners, team leads, and our peers are willing to listen and implement change - quite literally next day – when earnest ideas are put forth. We consistently encourage innovative ideas from our team and hope the feedback, negative or positive, would be made real-time so we can act upon it. Starting a company (any company) takes a lot of hard-work and long hours in order for us, and those around us, to be successful. We can only hope each individual recognizes the opportunities Swoon provides, knowing that hard work will be the driving force to get us there! We care about our employees and we want to improve, and while these reviews are anonymous – we’d love to offer more opportunity to take the conversation offline, feel free to email me at operations@swoontech.com to set up a chat.
