Thank you for your feedback. The past two years have been difficult financially for many healthcare companies, including Symbria. Most of our clients are not-for-profit skilled nursing communities and we work closely with them to provide the best possible services to patients and residents without raising our prices. Our clients appreciate that we understand their reimbursement from federal programs like Medicare doesn't change. Although we were not able to provide increases to employees last year, we did provide Hero bonuses for therapists in May/June. For therapists furloughed during the height of the pandemic, we maintained health insurance benefits - and we called back employees as soon as our clients had the census to support it. We try hard to provide competitive benefits, including shares in the company, and make pay adjustments whenever financially feasible. - Deb Bragg, Chief HR Officer

Pros

If you have a love for caring for people and helping them live a more productive, healthy life, this is a great job!

Cons

No holidays, short staffed for PT days. Not much room for growth.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you find the job fulfilling . Your work with the residents and patients makes a great difference in their lives. Symbria's clients require therapy coverage 7 days a week, including holidays, which means we don't close for the traditional holidays. However, our paid time off (PTO) plan for Therapy Rehab employees provides a higher level of accrual than in our other business lines to account for holidays. Staffing is a tremendous challenge in healthcare right now. We're working hard to find talent, and referrals are very welcome! - Deb Bragg, Chief HR Officer

Pros

Semi-flexible schedule; can work weekend days to get days off, many facilities in the region to travel to with compensation for time and mileage. If your home facility is low you can travel to another facility in the region to cover. Productivity is manageable currently 85%-88%, gets some getting used to.

Cons

I was provided little to no training! First month was a lot of stress and figuring it out. Inconsistency in schedules, you never know if you will be struggling to meet your 30 hour minimum or working overtime. Week to week variability. Communication between buildings on hours is NOT good. I've had to make connections with DORs of various buildings on my own to get more hours.

Thank you for your feedback. We realize that staffing challenges for Symbria as well the client communities in which our employees work has made onboarding more difficult. We're working to improve training and mentoring, Please reach out to me through company email if you would like to share more or if I can provide any help. - Deb Bragg, Chief HR Officer
