Pros

Employees can work from home. Consultative experience looks good on a resume for your next job Exposure to a variety of technologies This place used to be great. It was a small company that valued the talent and dedication of their workforce. It invested in the growth of its employees. This all changed around the time it was sold from Sverica to Quad-C (both private equity firms). The change in ownership seemed to coincide with the company losing all of its culture and becoming just another tech firm. Pay is better for people entering than for those who had been with the company for a while. I worked hard to get a few promotions during my time there, and was surprised to find that the entry-level position I started with had higher pay than what I was making at the time I exited.

Cons

Overtime culture Low morale Their "Unlimited" PTO policy without any minimums (you can Google why this not a good thing) Leadership will flaunt growing revenue in company calls while turning their noses up to any meaningful cost-of-living adjustments in response to inflation I would have loved to have provided my feedback to HR, but there was no exit interview, just an online survey.

Pros

Some really nice people, can work from home, free snacks if they remember to buy them, decent benefits.

Cons

Roles are unclear, lack of clear communication between management and staff, work politics, you need the right friends to advance and yet you still won't know where your career is going, if it's going anywhere at all anyway. You will be blamed and labeled negative if you're not a yes-man, rather than management addressing issues and finding solutions. Management is mostly new and confused about what their roles are, too, so they aren't capable of helping you. They are too busy restructuring and trying to do things completely new ways versus taking a look at what worked before and building on an already good foundation. They'd rather demolish the whole structure to avoid anything done the old way. We must be new and exciting rather than functional.
