      Pros

      Getting to work on all sorts of different and interesting problems at multiple clients, Good ideas from staff are rewarded and utilized, lots of independence IF you perform well and get things done

      Working directly with clients regularly which can be tough for the wrong personality type

      Micro Management at its Worst

      The majority of the people you work with are fantastic.

      Cons

      Management has no clue as to how unfair and unbalanced they or their views are. The techs are asked to work/travel through their lunch hours, and if they don;t get to eat or want more time - they are advised to start early or stay late. They expect all of their employees - except for family and the two administrative people - to work at least 45-50 hours per week, and if they do not - they are reprimanded. However, management thinks this is not only fair, but also generous. Watch out though - salary here definitely does not work both ways. Even if you work over 40 hours that week - if you leave before 5 pm, they will take out vacation or personal time for it. During the interview process, they will tell you they do not micro-manage, but then you will have 15 plus emails in an hour asking about what you are doing.

      Poorly managed and really paltry compensation for the amount of work

      Pros

      You get the opportunity to get a new car every other year since yours will be ruined by all the mileage and the reimbursement is terrible. The actual work involved is great due to the varied sites visited.

      Cons

      Tons of travel. Treated like you were stealing if you only worked 40 hours per week. Condescending management that had no idea what the tasks you performed really entailed. You are always on call.
